CrossLink Privacy Statement

This privacy statement governs the Cognitas CrossLink client software. It does not apply to other online or offline Cognitas sites, products, or services. Other privacy statements may also apply to information you process through CrossLink, such as the policy of the organization (the "Customer") through which you provision and access CrossLink services.

CrossLink enables you to access applications and services that have been provided by the Customer.

Additional Collection and Use of Your Information

CrossLink has the ability to log data for troubleshooting purposes. However, the logs are stored locally on your device and not sent to Cognitas automatically.

Cognitas does not disclose information described in this section to third-parties, except as follows: we may share or disclose personal information to comply with the law or respond to legal process or lawful requests, including from law enforcement and government agencies; to protect the rights or property of Cognitas or our customers, including enforcing the terms governing your use of the services; to act on a good faith belief that access or disclosure is necessary to protect the personal safety of Cognitas employees, customers or the public; or as part of a corporate transaction such as a merger or sale of assets.

Processing Your Information On Behalf of Our Customer

The CrossLink client software processes information, such as your username and other details provided during the connection process. The CrossLink client(s) are provided for use only by end users of Cognitas customers who are authorized users of the CrossLink services. The CrossLink client processes your information on behalf of the applicable Cognitas customer, and we may disclose information processed by the CrossLink service at the direction of the organization that provides you access to the services. Except as indicated below, Cognitas does not use information you process via the CrossLink service for any other purpose.

CrossLink clients may use cookies (small text files placed on a device's hard disk by a web service) or similar technologies to provide the services. For example, cookies may be used to store a user's preferences and settings, to gather web analytics, to authenticate a user or to detect fraud. These cookies are stored on your local device and will not be sent to Cognitas

Where Information is Stored and Processed

Except as described above, Cognitas does not store or process information related to the CrossLink client. The Customer may collect, store and process personal information according to its own privacy policy.
